252: The Enneagram for Identifying Patterns & Building Emotional Intelligence - Erin Baute

On Air with Ella - podcast episode 252

LEVERAGING THE ENNEAGRAM

Maybe you have heard of the Enneagram, but aren't fully aware of how to best use it, how to apply it in your life, your work, your relationships, etc. I know I wanted to know more, so I asked Erin Baute to walk us through it all!

WHAT IS THE ENNEAGRAM?

The basics: the Enneagram is a tool we can use to name our patterns and help us notice what we are thinking, feeling, and sensing. Identifying our primary pattern - our Enneagram Type - the habits we’ve developed to move around safely in the world. As we become more aware of our patterns and habits, often unconsciously conditioned, we are able to make empowering choices about how we want to live and work.

The Enneagram is a powerful tool for both spiritual and psychological development that gives us language and a model to actually live emotional intelligence, not just learn about it. - Erin B.

In this episode, I'm talking to Erin Baute about:

  • What is the Enneagram and how should we use it

  • What are the 9 Types and how should we think of these identity frameworks

  • What Enneagram isn't, and how we might mis-use it

  • Useful application of Enneagram insights personally, at work, and in relationships

  • Creating positive behavior change using the Enneagram
