Fiona Lambert is not just a recognized name in UK fashion, but a powerhouse. Her perspective on aging, fitness, and overall well-being is something I just had to share.


Celebrating, Not Fearing, Aging

One of the things that really struck me was Fiona's attitude towards turning 60. She decided to take it as a challenge, to "make it something to celebrate!" She wanted to be a role model showing that you can be "fit and feisty and fabulous and full of energy at 60." I love this idea of making it a beginning rather than the beginning of the end.


Consistency is Key (and It Doesn't Have to Be Boring!)

We talked a lot about consistency, and Fiona shared some great insights on making fitness a sustainable part of your lifestyle. She relies on the "5 P's": purpose, preparation, perseverance, people, and positivity. Fiona believes in the power of perseverance, noting that it takes 21 days to break a habit but 90 days to create a lifestyle.


Small Steps, Big Impact

Fiona is all about finding ways to weave activity into your daily life. She mentioned doing little five-minute workouts while the kettle boils – push-ups against the kitchen counter or a few squats. "It all adds up," she said. "Those tiny little steps, and you can build on them and hopefully overcome feeling it's too late for you."


Adventures at Any Age

Fiona is determined to make her 60s the best third of her life. She's planning adventures, learning new things, and embracing life to the fullest. I loved her point about planning one big adventure a year, six mini-adventures, and learning a new habit every quarter.


It's All About Choice

Fiona really emphasized that it's all about choice: choosing to invest in yourself, choosing to prioritize your well-being, and choosing to embrace life with joy and vitality. As Fiona said, "I think I've become more me, if I'm really honest. You know, I'm sharing this joy that I found of, you know, investing in myself."
